
Eliminating waste and adding customer value are the goals of Integra’s Lean Initiative. Integra has a dedicated team focused on leveraging best practices for our facilities. Standardized processes include developing a model line, deploying the lean culture within our teams, and focusing on high impact projects.
Our Lean Initiative Includes:
- Lean maturity tracker to drive lean method deployment and link improvement actions to quality and cost goals
- Zero Defect Line Quality Initiative and local “5S” efforts
- Monthly improvement project reviews with top management
- Internal Kaizen workshops for all lines (continuous improvement)
Some of the Six Sigma tools used to improve processes and implement the improvements include Process Mapping, Gage R&R, Multi-vary, Capability Analysis, FMEA, Regression, DOE, Control Charts and select other tools (Shainin, TQM tools). Lean tools include Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Factory, TAKT Time Analysis, Line Balancing/Standard Work, material replenishment systems (Kanban, Pull), Quality Integration (Poke-Yoke), Setup Reduction, Total Predictive Maintenance and Human Systems.
